I'm more or less certain the set is 19th century German
The wood is in excellent condition and the box is in excellent structural condition
There is a small tear and fold along the top right edge
Like the carved horseshoe plaque I just listed
and turns up a few things dating to the 1920s-1930s--including a photo included in documentation
