I would consider graveyard hate to be a viable plan, and it can be more powerful than you think
Heres how I would update my Kaldheim Historic deck: Creatures (1) Planeswalkers (5) Lands (26) Spells (28) All in all, these lists are just scratching the potential that Brainstorm has in Historic Im sure well see it in most blue decks in the format in some way or another
Ratchet, Field Medics convert trigger is anytime you gain life, and when you do you can return an artifact with a converted mana cost less than or equal to the amount of life you gained straight to the battlefield
You still want to get in as much combat damage in the early game as you can, even if your opponent will eventually put together too many large blockers for you to clear away
We want our removal to matter, and its not very exciting when we use a removal spell on a cheap creature just to survive
